CommunATI ("we", "us", "the app") is a community and education platform for schools, programs, and events. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. CommunATI is operated by Bay Tech Ltd.

Who can use CommunATI

CommunATI is intended for users aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Where children participate in a program through their school or organization, accounts are created and managed by that organization and by a parent or guardian.

Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, and a user ID used to create and secure your account.
• Profile and content you provide — a display name (nickname), and any photos, videos, voice recordings, or other content you choose to submit as part of a program or event.
• Device information — device identifiers and technical data needed to deliver the service across phones, tablets, TVs, and the web.
• Diagnostics — crash logs and basic performance data to keep the app working.
• Purchase history — records of in-app purchases or program payments, where applicable.

How we use information

We use the information above only to provide and operate the app's functionality: creating accounts, running programs, competitions, and events, displaying schedules and results, enabling participation across devices, processing payments, and maintaining security and reliability.

Protecting children's identities

On any public-facing display (such as a scoreboard or leaderboard shown on a screen), a participant is identified by a self-chosen display name and/or a competitor number — never by their full legal name. Real names are visible only to the participant's family and their program or organization administrators.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Information is visible within your program or organization as needed to run an event (for example, an organizer can see participants in their own event). We may disclose information if required by law.

Data security and retention

Information is encrypted in transit. We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and we delete it on request as described below (subject to records we must keep for legal or financial reasons).

Your choices and deletion

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
